I've been meaning to do one of these for a while, and finally got around to it yesterday. The 4.2 revs very quickly, but the nature of the car means that there's plenty of sound deadening to keep things quiet. What noise is there is good, but it requires turning up the volume a bit. Bottom line, it sounds like a V8, only quieter. It's still more sonorous than a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , though.

This was filmed on private property, for anyone who cares but somehow couldn't tell.

My dad just sold his '05 A8L last weekend. We always spoke of putting an aftermarket exhaust on it to unleash the sound of the beast, but he never got around to it. He decided to sell it because it was kind of a money pit. He put $8000 into repairing it last year and it was only worth $6000 and there were still problems he needed to fix.

He took my mom's e90 328i and leased her a Chevy Cruze. I was disappointed because he ruined our German car collection, but he's trying to save money since over the next 3 years, my two sisters and I will all be going to college. He already misses the A8's space (he's 6'4) and the Bose sound system.
